A Walk Among the Tombstones

A Walk Among the Tombstones, released in 2014, is an American crime thriller film based on the 1992 novel of the same name by Lawrence Block. Directed by Scott Frank, the film stars Liam Neeson as Matthew Scudder, a former NYPD homicide detective turned private investigator. The film is set in New York City and opens with Matthew Scudder, a rugged, hard-boiled private investigator, visiting a fellow recovering addict at a local AA meeting. Matthew Scudder's struggle with his demons and his moral compass raises a question as to whether justice can ever truly be achieved in such a broken and corrupt world.
