In the ravaged landscape of 2029, Oregon has long since seceded from the United States, leaving the once-thriving coastal towns to devolve into nothing more than havens for outcasts and those seeking anonymity. This is the world in which we find our protagonist, a grizzled cyborg drifter operating under the name of Joe McClain.
