Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

Plot

In the summer of 2003, the world was treated to a sequel like no other, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, a film that promised to deliver more high-octane action and sassy banter than its predecessor. Directed by McG, who made his directorial debut with the initial film, Full Throttle brought back the iconic trio of Charlie's Angels, led by the long-legged, the beautiful, and the talented - Alex Munday (Cameron Diaz), Natalie Cook (Drew Barrymore), and Dylan Sanders (Lucy Liu). The movie picks up from where the first installment left off, with our Angels now in control of the Townsend Agency's headquarters. However, things quickly take a turn when they're handed a new case: find a pair of two missing rings, with all the vital details of the lives of all the people in the Witness Protection Program encoded in them. It appears that the rings are up for grabs on the black market, and whoever manages to get their hands on them will have complete hold over the WPP. As the Angels embark on their mission, things start getting extremely serious when the ring informant, a man by the name of David, turns up dead. This sets off alarm bells in the Angel HQ, and it's up to the trio to figure out who's behind these coordinated killings. The girls bring their skills and resourcefulness to the table, always ready to spring into action whenever things start getting out of hand. Along the way, they're aided by their ace mechanic, Jimmy Bosley (Dylan McNulty), who provides the perfect male perspective. As the Angels begin to dig into the world of black market rings and the highly secretive Witness Protection Program, they come face-to-face with the notorious rogue agent, Madison Lee (Christina Milian). With high heels and sassy attitude, Lee is a worthy adversary, known for her lethal tactics and the ice that she brings with her wherever she goes. Backed by Ernie Fuller (Matt LeBlanc) and Bill (Justin Theroux), two of her high ranking ex-colleagues, Madison forms an elite team that is feared by many and is hell-bent on stealing the highly valuable data contained within the ring. Along with their camaraderie and charm, Full Throttle offers snatches of what one could expect from the offbeat humor found throughout the series, including the beautiful, fashion forward outfits. The plot flows through at a dazzling clip, moving swiftly to paint a broad canvas of high-speed car chases, numerous fight sequences, and the always-busy comings and goings at the headquarters, building itself up towards a heart-pumping climactic final showdown. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu once again brought the stars to the action-packed, full of comedy scenario that kept viewers entertained throughout the entire film. Drew Barrymore took on a directing credit along with McG, joining a team to bring these memorable heroines to life before the world. Their collaboration eventually brought forth a script well chocked with action set pieces on a global scale, adding to an already electrifying plot to create a fascinating story with its three female leads caught in their most thrilling caper to date. With the spotlight firmly fixed on the Angel trio and their extraordinary adventures, Full Throttle perfectly manages to live up to its title - with enough speed to put all other vehicles to shame, plenty of danger to keep them guessing, and an incredibly captivating performance from the tough but lovely Angie trio that further increased its charisma.

Not as good as the first one, and the actresses aren't as pretty as in the first movie, but I still love Cameron Diaz's smile back then!

As a gay man, even I can't handle Lucy Liu, she's outrageously mesmerizing... The details are far-fetched, but it's good as an entertainment flick. Demi Moore's aura is truly powerful, portraying a lesbian is absolutely captivating!
