CJ7 follows the life of a hardworking but financially struggling construction worker, Tai-Yeung (played by Nicky Li), who resides in a small, rundown apartment in Hong Kong with his ailing mother. Tai-Yeung's life takes a turn for the better when he gets a job working for a wealthy family, which allows him to earn a decent income.
