Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street

Plot
Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street is a 2002 Japanese animated mystery film directed by Kenji Kodama. Set in the 19th century, the movie begins with the introduction of the character of Claude Rumouraux, an esteemed English detective. However, a quick flashback reveals that this detective, a modern-day character portrayed by a super-computer, in this case, a human supercomputer, also known as a hacker, makes his appearance in a virtual reality, set in London. Rumouraux is an imposing figure, initially thought to be the true detective tracking down the assassin known as Jack the Ripper. Yet, unbeknownst to many, his true intentions lay elsewhere. The story shifts to the present day, where the focus is on the showcasing of a state-of-the-art virtual reality technology known as Noah's Ark to Japan's prestigious children. This virtual reality is based upon the life of Sherlock Holmes' contemporary, Inspector Lestrade from London, the latter's famous detective, and his personal sidekick from the time of Jack the Ripper's dark reign in London. The highlight of this AR experience is set in the 1888 London setting. Meanwhile, the actual inspiration behind Noah's Ark takes on a deeper cue within the world of Sherlock Holmes as this will be the point of starting for tracking, observing the events and case-solving work of this real-life detective with regards to deciphering all possible plots. Suddenly, during the demonstration, a voice becomes loud and shrill as an individual falls into the digital world. The message whispers a cryptic clue. It seems that the latest employee to die, seemingly brutally ended, leaves behind the message directing to a tip embedded in within Noah's digitalized construct. The presence of Conan Edogawa as well as Ran at the scene allows for these two detectives, each with special skills and their particular abilities to initiate their procedures for conducting trials as they become deeply entangled with what is actually going to unfold as they are imprisoned in Noah's world of virtualism. Alongside the original scenario's context of the dark setting, this 19th-century world – will only be heightened as their surroundings and also what makes their circumstances are all rather intense. Though, with the bodies of many people trapped, no such exit from the artificial reality has been found so far, the detective begins by observing and at the same time also asking Ran Mouri in her investigation, using her new skills of expertise alongside assistance to take in all these crucial points observed by Conan. There is doubt - for the current actual condition - if they will be able to find and also reveal their culprit. Noah's world also seems as if any of the seemingly trapped gamers are at potential danger with further unforeseen challenges beginning and further developing fast. At this critical juncture, we come across Jack the Ripper, who might seem the main target. Yet his path of terror runs somewhat parallel to the mysterious death and death of company employees as one after another they die amidst the virtual simulation, without them apparently figuring out this death of one 'rumour' in the digital creation, by setting them on a 19th-century English road in a digital makeover of what Noah's London setting entailed. The climactic phase revolves around a detailed outline that for those operating the company of the advanced technologies behind Noah's simulated world are almost there as long as they desire these game participants a fight with a mind-bending enigmatic persona in that of Jack the Ripper with his hidden intentions still largely inconspicuous - only seen by probably a mere handful. The reality of the company behind these devices should also not be overlooked. Meanwhile, without getting much news and with time running fast, all the participants are becoming anxious and apprehensive. Since no other means, apart from a mental plan - is obvious enough to reveal to their exact whereabouts trapped inside the elaborate and confusing virtual world. The trapped parties observe that their situation somewhat reminds them of the Sherlock Holmes novels by following these stories. Pursuing their theory and every clue they soon realize that Conan and the team have all chances of finding themselves trapped in the confines of this Noah's Ark and setting out their primary objectives, followed very much swiftly. This mystery unravels further but as to prove one thing here always comes a crisis in time. Thus another shocking twist appears ahead for all trapped by the enigmatic hacker; who only finds a delight in how trapped people face death with absolute desperation.
