Plot

Dhoom 2 is a 2006 Indian action thriller film directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, and Uday Chopra in pivotal roles. The movie opens with a stunning high-speed car chase scene showcasing the return of Aryan Khanna (Hrithik Roshan), also known as Jai Dixit in the first film, who is now on the run after pulling off one of the most intricate heists in the world. Aryan escapes to Europe, where he gets a call from his accomplice, Samar (Bipasha Basu), who informs him that their next target will be Mumbai. In Mumbai, we see the return of a.k.a (also known as Aryan) detective Ali (Abhishek Bachchan), who has lost his job over his unorthodox methods but is still hot on the trail of catching Jai and solving crimes. Meanwhile, Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) - an international thief with unparalleled skills and beauty - has also come to Mumbai, seeking Aryan's help to steal six priceless artifacts. Sunehri and Aryan start working on a multi-million dollar plan, and their intricate heist unfolds. Ali and his team, including Sham (Bipasha Basu), Aryan's accomplice, are hot on Aryan's trail. Ali's personal life also becomes complicated as he falls in love with Pooja (Bipasha Basu), a cop who is secretly working with Aryan. As Aryan and Sunehri start the heist of their dreams, they manage to evade the cops successfully, but their complicated relationships start unraveling. Ali becomes increasingly suspicious of Pooja and Sham, and Aryan starts questioning Sunehri's motivations behind the heist. The cat-and-mouse game between Aryan, Ali, and the international thief reaches its climax as the heist reaches its final stages. In a series of twists and turns, the movie takes a dramatic turn. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Sunehri has ulterior motives for her involvement in the heist, and Ali eventually catches up with Aryan. The intricate plot thickens, and the final scene leaves viewers in suspense as they wonder where it's all headed. Ultimately, Aryan is caught, and he is about to be sent to prison when Sunehri reveals that the heist was not for the thrill of it but for revenge for the death of her family. However, just as Aryan is about to be given another chance at life, Sunehri shoots Aryan and leaves him to die but also reveals the real mastermind behind the heist - an unknown figure known only as "The International Thief." In the final frames of the movie, it appears that Sunehri has been working undercover for Ali the whole time, and the International thief is revealed as Rohan Shah (Shah Rukh Khan) in a pre-climax scene. Rohan Shah returns to India as an Indian film star, but his real intention is to find Sunehri and the six artifacts. The movie concludes with Rohan Shah setting his sights on his next target, hinting at the beginning of a possible sequel.
