Ek Tha Tiger

Ek Tha Tiger, an action-romance film directed by Kabir Khan, tells the story of Tony (also known as Tiger), a top agent working for India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). The film stars Salman Khan in the lead role and introduces Katrina Kaif as Zoya, the lovely Pakistani caretaker with whom Tony falls in love. The movie begins with Tony's training at the RAW agency. His mentor, Colonel Rakesh Kriplani, assigns Tony a mission to observe a scientist, Dr. Riaz, in Warsaw. Dr. Riaz has been working on a top-secret project codenamed "Snowball," which the Indian government suspects is a Pakistani nuclear bomb project. Kriplani instructs Tony to keep a safe distance from the project and its participants. Upon arriving in Warsaw, Tony settles into a hotel where he meets Nupur, a beautiful Polish dancer who becomes the center of his attention in Poland. However, Tony's attention is soon diverted when he encounters Zoya, the Pakistani caretaker assigned to Dr. Riaz. The film's plot takes a significant turn when Tony and Zoya start interacting, and their conversations lead him to realize that Zoya is, in fact, his opposite - a highly intelligent, fiercely independent woman from a different background. As Tony delves deeper into the project, he discovers that Dr. Riaz is innocent, and the real culprit is an Indian mole working within RAW. This mole has been feeding Pakistani intelligence information about Dr. Riaz's work. The mole's actions put Zoya's life in danger, and Tony decides to protect her. The film takes a dramatic turn as Tony's RAW handlers suspect that he has developed feelings for the enemy's side, Zoya. Kriplani orders Tony to eliminate Dr. Riaz and report back, but Tony decides to disobey orders to protect Zoya. In a dramatic sequence, Tony discovers a mole in RAW and exposes him to Kriplani. Tony's actions are deemed a betrayal, but Kriplani realizes that Tony's decision was right and ultimately saves Dr. Riaz. Zoya and Tony eventually confess their love to each other. The film concludes with the happy couple deciding to leave behind their respective countries and be together. However, before they do, they must deal with the fallout of Tony's actions within the Indian establishment. Tony's actions were seen as a betrayal by RAW, and he's declared an enemy within his home country. Zoya, in the meantime, is struggling to deal with the trauma she experienced working as a Pakistani caretaker within Indian territory. The movie's climax revolves around Zoya and Tony as they decide to escape from India and join their loved ones - Nupur (Poland) and their families respectively, who are in Pakistan. Tiger 2 was supposed follow after the events in the movie however that one wasn't finished prior to the 2020 India vs China conflict (which delayed work on several Bollywood movies.)
