Every Single Someone

Plot
Every Single Someone begins on a seemingly typical college campus, with Arlis and Lee, two students deeply in love. However, their relationship is marked by an unsettling level of control and manipulation, with Arlis exhibiting all the classic warning signs of an abusive partner. Their break-up is inevitable, and it's a turning point that sets off a chain of catastrophic events. As Lee tries to move on, Arlis seeks the help of his friends - an equally unscrupulous and reckless group of individuals. It isn't long before they stumble upon an online forum for hiring hitmen, where a mysterious figure known only by his handle, 'Baba Yaga,' offers his services to those who are desperate for a more... permanent solution to their problems. Arlis, convinced that Lee is the cause of all his troubles and that he's the only one who truly understands him, decides to take matters into his own hands. He commissions a hit on Lee, convincing his friends that this is the perfect opportunity for them to get in on a lucrative and exciting venture. What they fail to consider is the very real possibility of getting caught. They're not just playing a high-stakes game; they're recklessly tampering with lives. The initial plan is to pay Baba Yaga to kill Lee, hoping to collect their money back through a lucrative insurance policy that the hit man has suggested. They are oblivious to what their actions will lead to, ignoring the moral and emotional consequences that are inevitable. As Arlis's plan unfolds, it's clear that 'Baba Yaga' is more than just a middleman. He's a calculating and ruthless individual who takes pleasure in orchestrating the violence that he's responsible for. He sets his sights on Lee, and a cat-and-mouse chase ensues as Lee becomes aware of the sinister forces that are converging to destroy her. Throughout the film, Lee emerges as a strong and resilient character who refuses to give up. Despite being targeted for murder, she never loses faith in her own abilities and her resolve to survive. With her life now in danger, she seeks help from her loved ones, including her family members and close friends, in the hopes that they can help her evade the hitmen and bring Arlis and his accomplices to justice. A key element of the movie is its commentary on the darker side of human nature. The characters are multi-dimensional and complex, with some exhibiting an alarming lack of empathy and understanding of right from wrong. Arlis, once depicted as a charming and likable lead, reveals his true colors as the film progresses, showcasing a deep-seated cruelty and a lack of regard for anyone else's feelings. Throughout the narrative, the stakes are constantly raised as Lee finds herself being hunted by multiple hitmen in different locations. Baba Yaga's motives and true intentions remain a mystery until the very end, and even then, the reasons why he chose to target Lee are left unexplained, leaving an air of ambiguity and intrigue. In the movie's climax, the lives of the characters are forever changed. The violence and chaos escalate until a dramatic confrontation takes place. Lee's life hangs in the balance, and it's up to her loved ones and the people who care for her to help her survive this ordeal. In the end, justice is served, but not without some tragic consequences. The film comes full circle, showcasing the devastating effects of Arlis's actions on those around him. It serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of seeking revenge, emphasizing how far-reaching the consequences can be for those who choose to pursue such a path.
