Plot

In the year 2009, a group of time-traveling bounty hunters from the future are on a mission to capture a young man named Alex Finter (Emilio Estevez), a rebellious and reckless race-car driver who has escaped his fate in 1999. However, instead of bringing him back to face justice, they decide to take advantage of the situation and bring Finter to the present day. The bounty hunters' plan is to transplant Finter's mind into the body of Simon Cameron (Morgan Freeman), a terminally ill billionaire who has only six months left to live. Cameron's vast wealth and connections make him an attractive target for the bounty hunters, who stand to gain a fortune by selling his lifeless body back to his company. As Finter awakens in 2009, he is shocked to find himself in a world that is vastly different from the one he knew. He must navigate this unfamiliar environment while also struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer in control of his own life. The bounty hunters, led by the ruthless and cunning Marcus Ray (Wesley Snipes), are relentless in their pursuit of Finter, who soon finds himself trapped in a desperate game of survival. As Finter tries to find a way back to his own time and reclaim his identity, he also forms an unlikely bond with Cameron's daughter, Kate (Cynthia Gibb). Together, they uncover the truth behind the bounty hunters' motives and the sinister plans that have been set in motion. In the end, Finter must confront the harsh realities of his situation and make a choice between fighting to regain control of his life or accepting his new circumstances. Will he be able to overcome the odds and find a way back home, or will he succumb to the pressures of his new reality? "Freejack" is a thrilling and thought-provoking sci-fi adventure that explores the complexities of identity, free will, and the consequences of playing with time.

It's 2009, and we're still waiting for that time travel technology.

While the plot and characters offer a lackluster imitation of Blade Runner, the film's gritty and somewhat cool production design is more effective at keeping you entertained.

The protagonist, on the brink of death, is snatched through time by a powerful figure from the future. It turns out this ruthless CEO wants to use the protagonist's body to extend his own life and, in a "legitimate" way, pursue the woman the protagonist loved in his past life. The story's premise is quite intriguing, but the oddly-styled futurism reveals a lack of sophistication. To avoid visual dissonance in the intergenerational romance, the 1991-2009 timeframe feels too cramped. The male lead's performance is also quite awkward, and the overall tackiness and cheapness of the film undermine the story's potential.

I need the movie review text you want me to translate into English. Please provide the text so I can give you an accurate and appropriate translation. "What the actual..." is not enough to work with.

Barely a two-star film. Rich people of the future snatch a race car driver from a fatal crash to take over his body – it's like a primitive version of "Get Out." The protagonist, a racer, wreaks havoc driving tricked-out cars in the 2009 future, a la early "Death Race." The main plot revolves around his escape, triggered by a wealthy Hopkins' obsession of stealing the protagonist's girl in a love triangle, interspersed with villainous mercenary Jagger's redemption. The future world-building is reminiscent of Carpenter - a foggy, decaying cyberpunk style (the wealthy exploit past human bodies due to severe future pollution rendering healthy bodies scarce).

The concept of swapping one man's mind with another's in a twisted bid for immortality raises unsettling questions about humanity and the cost of survival.
