Plot

To the Sea, also known as Mizu to Meshite, it appears in the second season of the given "Hiiragi Mikkusu" series or commonly known as "Hiiragi Mix." To the Sea, marks the continuation of the Hiiragi family's captivating adventures, all wrapped around Kana's dream of setting sail on the sea. As of her initial promise, Kana is now driven by her unrelenting passion to sail to the breathtaking blue horizon. After having heard about a seashell so unique and rare that it is said to grant the deepest wishes of whoever possesses it, she sets off to achieve her dream. With the beautiful and well-crafted Moshimo sailboat now ready for departure, the family prepares to set sail as a whole. However, nothing could've been less expected when their well-thought sail turned into a disaster. Failing to move past her brother Mutsuki's reluctance, and dealing with her grandfather, Yuta's ailing state, makes Kana start questioning her sailing aspirations. Since confronting these immense setbacks, Kana finds herself captivated by an intriguing character named Shoko, who initially expresses her own doubts over taking the family's sailboat on a journey. Throughout intriguing conversations with Shoko, they collectively unravel and understand each other's backgrounds. They both share insecurities pertaining to exploring the ocean and uncovering who they are away from the comfort of their well-established families. While Kana battles conflicting emotions deep within, her decisions start creating ripples within her own household. While Shoko, influenced by her initial conversation with Kana eventually discovers her desire not only for the adventure she finds while sailing across the sea but for an innate sense of freedom. Upon facing a turning point, Shoko eventually decides to board the sailing vessel alongside Kana instead of opting for a seemingly easy choice which would place her within the safety of her father's high expectations. Finally able to accept and finally shed her guilt-ridden doubts once and for all, Kana was able to compose herself. Convincing her brother Mutsuki proves effortless, probably thanks to the incredible charm Shoko holds who understands the hearts of even the hesitant Mutsuki. Alongside her sailing partner and brother in tow, Kana's set sail on, an extremely rare convergence of the "high spring tide blue waves," set the beautiful blue seas to dance in the company of the wind-filled sailboat as she made her transition through from one memorable, magical season to another.
