Glass

Plot
Glass is a 2019 psychological thriller directed by M. Night Shyamalan, serving as the final installment in his Unbreakable trilogy. The film takes place after the events of 2016's Split and serves as a sequel to 2000's Unbreakable. David Dunn (played by Bruce Willis) is a former security guard who, while fighting off a group of robbers on a train in 1997, discovered he possessed superhuman strength without being harmed. Although he initially tried to keep his ability a secret, David later opened his own security firm and began using his powers for good. Meanwhile, a series of brutal and heinous crimes commited by Kevin Wendell Crumb, a disturbed man with twenty-four distinct personalities (played by James McAvoy), has caught the attention of the law and Mr. Glass (played by Samuel L. Jackson), also known as Elijah Price. Elijah, the main antagonist of Unbreakable, is a pathetically frail and sensitive man, known to everyone but David as Mr. Glass because of his ability to walk perfectly without breaking any of his bones. Although perceived as handicapped by the public, Elijah suffers from a condition that makes his bones break easily, often merely by being touched, which motivated his lifelong goal of proving that everything has a match – that there is someone out there just as frail, and someone just as strong. While Crumb's personalities roam free in his lair, their aggressive and sinister natures cause chaos in the city. Detective Fletcher (played by Sarah Paulson), a local detective who is also tasked with investigating these crimes, is able to track down James McAvoy's character to his apartment. When Fletcher tries to apprehend him, she is met with violence and some destructive force due to Crumb's multiple personalities. Despite efforts by Detective Fletcher's team to apprehend Crumb, he manages to evade them, causing her to realize that something extraordinary and unusual is going on. Noticing the connection between Crumb's crimes and that of Mr. Glass with superhuman hearing and intelligence, David Dunn starts to investigate Elijah, intent on uncovering his involvement with Kevin Crumb's heinous crimes. As Crumb and David cross paths, it becomes clear that Crumb is going through a drastic change - triggered by an outside force - which unleashes the beast of the 'Beast' personality. Meanwhile, a social experiment experiment that Mr. Glass participated in 20 years ago at an asylum comes to light, which he, in fact, devised and in which subjects with traumatic backgrounds and mental illnesses, including the beast, were tested with the intention to separate humanity from its capacity for violence. The connection to Elijah and to Crumb's past becomes increasingly clear. As the enigmatic figure, David faces off against the multiple personalities of Kevin, both in that building and elsewhere in the city, leading to a frightening and unpredictible series of violent escapades. It will be discovered by David, in the end that the true secret hidden behind Elijah and possibly also behind Kevin's past has to do with his mother and Elijah/ Mr. Glass, the character's secret is related to his family's true motivations after Crumb discovers information that potentially changes his complete opinion about his past.
