In the late 1990s, the world teetered on the brink of chaos as a powerful satellite system, known as GoldenEye, was stolen by a rogue agent with a grudge against the West. Former ally-turned-enemy Alec Trevelyan, now known as Agent 006, had infiltrated the organization and manipulated events to seize control of the satellite. His intentions, however, were far from altruistic.
