GTMAX follows the story of Samantha "Sam" Lewis, a former motocross champion who has retreated from the world of professional racing after a tragic accident took a devastating toll on her family. Her parents passed away in the incident, and the surviving members, including her older brother, Jake, were left to rebuild their lives. Three years have passed since the accident, and Sam's wounds still linger. She now lives with Jake, and they have tried to rebuild their relationship, which was strained due to their differing personalities. Jake has been working odd jobs to make ends meet, while Sam has taken up a solitary life, focusing on her mechanics skills and staying as far away from the racing world as possible. When a trio of notorious gang members, known as "The Devils of Steel," arrive in town, they visit Jake at his workplace, where he works at a small maintenance shop. The Devils' leader, the imposing and cunning Maverick, sets his sights on Jake, recognizing the inherent talent of the young rider. Maverick, who drives a custom black GTMAX bike, convinces Jake to join the gang's ranks and participate in a high-stakes heist. The Devils plan to target the State Golden Reserve in the next town over, which they believe houses a prized gemstone hidden within the vault. Upon hearing of Jake's involvement, Sam tries to convince her brother to extricate himself from the gang's clutches. However, Jake, eager to make amends for past mistakes and overcome his self-doubting feelings of inadequacy, ignores Sam's warnings. Realizing that Maverick has ties to her family's past, where he was responsible for setting up a racing confrontation that led to her parents' demise, Samantha fears that if Jake gets in too deep with the gang, he may put himself in grave danger and put the family's future at risk. Tensions rise between the two siblings as Jake's role within the gang becomes more prominent. Maverick recognizes the complex dynamic between Sam and Jake and repeatedly tries to pit the two siblings against each other. As the heist draws closer, the stakes escalate and so does the rivalry between the Devils and a rival gang known as the Midnight Racinners. Led by a mysterious figure known as Lena, who wears sunglasses and wields a magical GTMAX roadbike, Lena harbors her own past with Maverick, raising the personal stakes even higher. To prevent Jake from getting hurt and uncover the personal vendetta between Maverick and herself, Samantha decides to take matters into her own hands. She has long held a secret that could change the dynamics of the family: Sam still remains in tune with her motocross skills and uses her mechanical prowess to enhance her performance on various bikes. She convinces a former motocross rival and ally, Pete, who has since retired, to show her the ways she could join a local, competitive racing circuit. Pete recognizes that this can show Sam a different path forward: competitive racing. Deciding to confront the Devils head-on to protect her brother and show him a more secure future, Samantha enters a racing competition known as the GTMAX GP where she can earn sponsorship and gain recognition among fellow riders. Her strategy leads to an exclusive meeting between Samantha, Jake's rivals with the Devils and the Racinners, along with her former acquaintance, Pete, with her father's old ex-racing team under her influence. This would serve as leverage against Maverick's gang and possibly even uncover her father's and some past truths that may hold clues to dealing with Maverick. Combining her past expertise with self-questioning doubts that drive her towards reckoning her life's purpose and her bond with her brother, Samantha joins an impromptu racing segment at the competition GTMAX bike circuit. It wasn't long before she discovered the value of camaraderie, loyalty and sportsmanship when riding side by side with a tight alliance of road fellow competitors. When her racing peers learn she possesses crucial insights to racing, team dynamics to teamwork, and in-time grit with a human fire that flows through her well-known GTMAX bike in the league setting, the stage is set for Samantha to join the racing team initially led out by her father, now empowered not only to race and be free but forge bonds, overcome previous emotional scars within the realm of finding home.
