Pretty average. I went in expecting a comedy, but it turned out to be a drama. It takes the traditional "adversarial couple" dynamic and casts it as a senior citizen first lady and her bodyguard, creating an unlikely pairing. While there's a bond of friendship, it lacks the kind of positive, spark-filled clashes that could have elevated the story.

The old lady's line, "The taxpayers want to know how much it's costing them to keep these old politicians and their wives!" is brilliant. I want to know where my money is going too! Thumbs up for that line!

"Guarding Tess" is a hilarious mix of intrigue and awkwardness. Doug, a Secret Service agent, finds himself protecting the widowed first lady, who's as sharp as she is stubborn. The film’s humor comes from Doug’s fish-out-of-water situation and his team’s over-the-top attempts to keep her safe, all while navigating her high-society world. It’s a fun, chaotic ride that keeps you guessing—and laughing!"
