Hitman: Agent 47

The 2017 film Hitman: Agent 47 is an action-thriller that serves as a soft reboot of the Hitman film series. While maintaining the spirit of the original, the movie takes on a new narrative while incorporating various characters and elements from the classic Hitman games. The story revolves around Agent 47, played by Rupert Friend, a genetically engineered assassin with exceptional skills and abilities. At the beginning, we are introduced to Agent 47, who has just escaped from incarceration after being captured and experimented on by the International Contract Agency (ICA). With the help of his handler, Felix, portrayed by Ciarán Hinds, 47 seeks to comprehend the true nature of his creation and his purpose in the world. Upon infiltrating a conference held by the ICA, where powerful and influential individuals are present, 47 discovers that a young woman named Katia, played by Hannah John-Kamen, is on the attendees' radar. With her DNA being a perfect match for one of the top three people with the potential to obtain control over the world's resources, Katia becomes a valuable prize for various factions. Vega, the antagonist, and an underlining power is essentially fuelled to accomplish key objectives through Katia, as her 'birthright' indirectly implicates upon wealth, resources and various global powers. As the film unfolds, 47 starts to question his moral boundaries, triggered by understanding that his existence is nothing more than an experiment by a man named Dr. Ort-Meyer, played by Tom Wilkinson, in the past. Ort-Meyer revealed to 47 that he had been manipulated into the world through precise testing that pinpointed crucial traits from specific samples, including Katia's. Furthermore, Ort-Meyer and Katia's DNA originated from the father of Katia named 'Andrew Brand, who in fact was trying to recreate Einstein. 47, then teams up with Katia, creating an unlikely duo. Together they navigate through a world filled with conspiracy and deception, all driven to assume Katia's newfound connection - having the 3rd largest potential at birth for greatness in DNA as used within Ort-Meyer & company to test her.
