Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

Plot
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is the third installment in the beloved animated franchise that follows the adventures of Count Dracula and his beloved family as they take a monster-sized vacation on a luxurious cruise liner. The movie kicks off with our beloved Count Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler, trying to keep up with the children in the Drac Pack. Johnny, Mavis's son with Jonathan, voiced by Andy Samberg, and his friends are itching for some summer fun, but Dracula's concerns about being a father are evident as he's worried about not being cool enough for the kids anymore. To alleviate his pressure, Mavis, voiced by Selena Gomez, comes up with the perfect solution – a family-friendly monster cruise called the 'Monster Cruise Liner' that caters specifically to all sorts of beings, including legendary creatures and mythical monsters. The whole Drac Pack family boards the ship, excited for the extravagant vacation ahead. Dracula tries to connect with his son and join in on the fun, which leads to some hilarious father-son moments. Meanwhile, on the high seas, we're introduced to the charming ship's captain, Ericka, voiced by Kathryn Hahn, who seems to be in charge of the entire expedition. As Dracula and his family get accustomed to the shipboard life, Dracula finds himself falling head over heels for the enchanting Captain Ericka. Their first encounter is purely innocent, with Ericka kindly offering Dracula her expertise about the ship, impressing him with her vast knowledge about the vessel. It's not long before our lovable Count Dracula starts setting sail on a voyage of romance with Captain Ericka. However, unbeknownst to Dracula, Ericka is, in fact, a descendant of the infamous Abraham Van Helsing, the monster hunter from legendary folklore. She has been working on her family's ancestral quest to create a serum that could turn werewolves and vampires back to normal humans, leaving them without the supernatural powers. Her single-minded mission reveals that beneath her bright, charming facade lies the burden of her family's troubled past, all of which she aims to fulfill upon completion of her research on the serum. As the voyage unravels, Captain Ericka continues conducting secret experiments on the ship's unsuspecting passengers, causing some mayhem, although well-intentioned. Dracula and his kids become aware of the mystery surrounding the ship's captain but remain in the dark about her true intentions and the nature of her work. One day, disaster strikes when the ship gets caught in the middle of a massive storm that puts everyone on high alert. The storm sets off fire alarms, flooding, and general chaos that gets progressively worse. In the heat of the crisis, Jonathan and his friends spring into rescue mode to save the people they are vacationing with, rather including their own father and the ship's crew. Under searing desperation, Dracula decides to reveal his true nature and demonstrates the incredible qualities of a vampire to Ericka by shielding everyone from a terrible landslide injury. Dracula risks everything by moving at high speeds on his monorail-shaped broombike that allows him to save many lives, performing an unbelievable display of selflessness and love that finally forces Ericka to reconnect with her Van Helsing lineage sensitivities and the love that transpired between her and Dracula in the past. When Captain Ericka is made aware of her ancestral legacy and realizes she's placed everyone in peril for personal gain, she reconciles with the monster she once vied to study and ultimately destroy. Together, Dracula and Ericka ditch her quest to re-engineer monsters, and instead they find love and begin a new life as 'family.' Dracula accepts Ericka for who she is, her heritage and flaws included, in what becomes a beautiful example of acceptance and forgiveness. The movie arrives at an enthusiastic holiday celebration with the monstrous bunch singing and dancing their hearts out, spreading love and bringing the 'Drac Family' – along with their Captain Ericka – an unforgettable vacation to remember for ages.
