Housefull 2, directed by Sajid Khan, is a Bollywood comedy film that tells the story of four men who join hands to create a deceitful plan to deceive their prospective father-in-laws. When they meet Preeti (Shriya Saran), Anjali (Asin), and Ganga (Jamie Lever), they fall in love with them, but things get complicated when they get to know that the girls come from families that their fathers-in-law do not particularly approve of. The friends decide to help each other out by pretending to be their prospective father-in-laws. Munna starts by pretending to be a retired army general, while Ayaan poses as a renowned musician. Pappu, on the other hand, decides to fake his own demise so that Preeti's father won't get in the way. As they try to deceive their prospective father-in-laws, a series of comedic misunderstandings ensues. The men's deceptions start to unravel, and the chaos begins to spread. Ayaan starts to gain popularity by faking his musical talent, while Munna starts to charm Preeti's father with his fake army stories. Pappu's decision to fake his own demise, however, causes trouble when his friends try to cover for him. As the friends continue to deceive their prospective father-in-laws, they start to get into more and more trouble. Meanwhile, the true father-in-law, a tough military officer named Colonel Chauhan (Chunky Pandey), is trying to get to know the real men behind the deceptions. He tries to get his hands on the men's real addresses, but the friends continue to outsmart him. The friends also get some surprise help from Aakash, their father-in-law, who is initially oblivious to their deceptions. Munna, Ayaan, and Pappu get to enjoy a series of comedic moments as they pretend to be their prospective father-in-laws. As the story comes to an end, the friends' deceptions get exposed, and the father-in-laws realize their sons-in-law are nothing like they thought. The movie ends on a comedic note as Munna, Ayaan, and Pappu confess their love and decide to marry their respective wives despite their families' initial disapproval.
