Djuan "DJay" Walker, a young and ambitious pimp, lives a seemingly successful life in Memphis. He operates a lucrative prostitution ring and commands the respect of his peers. However, beneath the surface, DJay is struggling. His profession has become a monotonous routine, devoid of any excitement or challenge. His relationships, particularly with the women in his life, have become distant and superficial. He yearns for something more, a sense of purpose that will allow him to break free from the confines of his world. One fateful night, DJay attends a local hip-hop club with his crew, where he witnesses a performance by Three 6 Mafia, a group of successful Memphis rappers. Inspired by their energy and charisma, DJay becomes fixated on the idea of becoming a rapper himself.
