I laughed when John offered David money for his wife at the casino. It highlights John's perspective, and the bystander's question, "Do you think your wife will come back?" succinctly captures the essence of the film. At 1 hour and 11 minutes, I was enraged. This man is fully exposed as a loser. Cowardly and hypocritical! If it weren't for your greed, would your wife have even been in that situation? Who are you to judge her now? And slamming the door? You have some nerve! Your wife hasn't even complained!

David doesn't deserve Diana's love. The charming Robert Redford, playing the wealthy tycoon, is the one who truly loves Diana. The film tells a compelling story, with excellent casting and beautiful cinematography. It's a shame that the ending is such a mess, trying to make everyone seem virtuous. The pursuit of 'true love' feels forced and contrived.

Even without the wealth, Redford is clearly the more captivating one.
