Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

In the year 2012, three years after the events of "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the popular YouTube personality Hank Parsons's friends have convinced him that he only fabricated the adventure. However, little do they know, Hank was accompanying Sean Anderson, a teenage boy who is about to embark on another thrilling journey. This time, Sean has a new ally by his side - his stepfather Hank, with whom he isn't too glad about. They both live in the same house as Sean's mom, Liz. Sean's grandfather, Alexander Anderson, has been missing for three years. No one knows if he is still alive or has passed away. Sean, however, believes that his grandfather might be alive and is likely on the island where James Parker, Sean and Hank's new nemesis, thinks he has discovered a map to find a hidden world. AsSean and Hank try to convince Liz to let them embark on the adventure, Sean insists on his need to search for his grandfather. Sean's curiosity to find the truth about his grandfather and suspicion of conspiracy surrounding him becomes the driving force behind their pursuit. Eventually, Sean convinces Hank to join the thrilling expedition by promising that this could be the most incredible experience of a lifetime. With no time to lose, they set off to go on their sea-bound journey. James Parker and a corporate boss are sneaking up behind them on a Navy vessel, equipped with new cutting-edge map-reading technology to unlock the secrets of this supposed mythical island. As they board a gigantic cargo ship led by Captain Charles, they begin their lengthy sea journey. It eventually gets stormy with turbulent seas, revealing that they are all flying far away from the coast line's protection. Upon their arrival on the island after a miraculous rescue by Charles, they discover a warning left by Alexander Anderson. It's in the Spanish and warns some potential visitors about the island's extremely treacherous nature. Sean and Hank then proceed to unravel the mystery of the 'Mysterious Moon'. Located about 1,000 miles off the coast of Hawaii, Paititi has produced another enigmatic moon-like feature, and both the treasure hunting Parker's crew and Sean and Hank work together for the first time to uncover the treasure of the island.
