In the third installment of the Crisis on Infinite Earths saga, the Justice League, along with their new allies, stands at the forefront of a desperate battle to preserve the dwindling fabric of existence. As the Anti-Monitor's relentless assault intensifies, the surviving worlds are on the brink of destruction, their existences reduced to mere flickers of light in the vast expanse of space-time. The Anti-Monitor, an entity forged from the opposing properties of the Multiverse, has long been destined to reshape the cosmos in its own twisted image. His malevolent power courses through the very essence of the fabric, infusing him with an unyielding drive to eliminate any existence that defies his authority. His destruction of entire dimensional realities has left the Justice League in a desperate fight for survival. Against this backdrop of cataclysmic proportions, the surviving heroes of the Multiverse unite in a last-ditch effort to counter the Anti-Monitor's advance. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern, each tempered by their individual experiences in the face of ultimate peril, join forces with a motley array of past incarnation heroes. These spectral entities, pulled from the chronicles of time, now join the fight, lending their presence and experience to the battle line. Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman, stands alongside her contemporary peers in unrelenting opposition to the Anti-Monitor. Her strength, born of strength, honor, and compassion, imbues her with an unyielding commitment to defend the values and worlds under siege. Together, with Justice League stalwarts, she assumes responsibility as one of the team leaders. Against their towering enemy, the heroes display an unyielding will to endure. Superman, the embodiment of strength and conviction, finds himself an opponent worthy of comparison in battle-hardened might with the remorseless Anti-Monitor. As his comrades struggle on separate battlefields, Superman must embody the collective resolve of a decimated world. This unwavering sense of duty calls upon him to resist and battle the Anti-Monitor, an odyssey to preserve time itself, from crumbling apart. As the horde of allies battles to hold back the relentless forces aligned with the Anti-Monitor, time itself converges in unstable equilibrium. Thus, visions of alternate eras burst into existence alongside these still-existant events in what seems to have been the original timestream. Converging events illustrate long-lost fragments of history are woven into the fold and become all too intertwined. Meanwhile, amidst the storm of events on multiple battlefields, Captain Atom - forged from nuclear energy, stands resolute as one shield from enemy invasions, a testament to his willpower and courage. Etrigan the Demon, an archenemy, joins their side - he, too, in his profound experiences; driven by pride and an interest in expanding his realm, not because he has suddenly found reason. Moreover, the Human Flame - a being engulfed by an uncontrollable inferno contained within his own human frame, chooses to defy the impossible prospect of existence, his burning awareness now burning bright. However, even as overwhelming strength of conviction converges, it appears abundantly clear that the stakes, the totality of all being's sacrifice will need to call even into to account all beings capable of witnessing any portion of the universe be gone.
