Killerman

Plot

In the gritty streets of New York City, a man known as Arlo (played by Liam Hemsworth) lives a life on the fringes of the law. A skilled money launderer, Arlo has built a lucrative business helping those with ill-gotten gains to clean their dirty money. He is a man who operates in the shadows, always keeping his distance from the chaos that comes with his line of work. One fateful morning, Arlo awakens in a blood-soaked bathroom with no memory of who he is, where he is, or even how he got there. The only clues are a suitcase full of cash, a duffel bag containing an assortment of illicit substances, and a cryptic message scrawled on the mirror with his own blood: "Tell them, it was Victor". With his life hanging in the balance, Arlo must navigate a complex web of deceit and corruption to uncover the truth behind his amnesia and the reason why his associates are hot on his heels. As Arlo sets out to unravel the mystery surrounding his past, he finds himself entangled in a perilous world of dirty cops, ruthless gangs, and treacherous underworld figures. He is hunted by a crew of corrupt law enforcement officials, who are not only after the cash and drugs but also determined to eliminate any potential loose ends. From the rooftop streets of Brooklyn to the cramped backrooms of Chinatown, Arlo must use his skills, wits, and any advantage he can find to evade his pursuers and keep one step ahead of the game. Throughout his journey, Arlo encounters an array of characters, each with their own agenda and motivations. There's Maya (played by Emory Cohen), a street-smart young woman who becomes his unlikely ally; Leon (played by Zlatko Burić), a seasoned underworld figure with ties to Arlo's past; and Victor (played by Russell Wong), a mysterious figure who seems to hold the key to Arlo's identity and the reason behind the chaos. As the stakes grow higher, Arlo's memories begin to resurface, revealing a complex history marked by tragedy, betrayal, and a deep sense of loyalty. He recalls his relationship with Victor, a high-ranking member of an infamous Triad organization, and the heists they pulled together. Arlo also remembers the events that led to his current predicament, including a botched scheme that put him and his crew in grave danger. Throughout the film, Arlo's desperation and frustration come to a head. With his enemies closing in and his memories slowly returning, he is faced with an impossible decision: to confront the truth about his past and risk everything, or to flee and protect himself at the expense of the people he cares about. Will he find a way to overcome the odds and reclaim his identity, or will the city ultimately consume him? As the action unfolds and the plot thickens, Killerman offers a gripping portrayal of Arlo's cat-and-mouse game against those who seek to control his fate. With its gritty realism, pulse-pounding action, and a narrative that twists and turns like a New York City streetscape, the movie takes viewers on a wild ride through the world of organized crime, where loyalty is a luxury few can afford and survival is the ultimate currency.
