Krull

Plot
In the distant reaches of the galaxy, the peaceful planet of Krull lies hidden, home to a kingdom at peace under the rule of Prince Colwyn (Ken Marshall). As he stands at the forefront of a traditional celebration marking the union between himself and his beloved Lyssa, tragedy strikes. Unseen and unsuspected, an alien force descends upon the land, their intentions clear: to capture Lyssa and make her a prize in their intergalactic games. These extraterrestrial invaders, known as the Slayers, are powerful and ruthless in their pursuit of power. With their towering ships hovering above the land and a legion of warriors at their disposal, there is little that stands in their way. But Colwyn is determined to rescue his love and reclaim his rightful place as ruler of Krull. Seeking the counsel of a wise old man named Ynor (Roberts Blossom), Colwyn learns of the Slayers' vulnerability to the magical Glaive of Wormxul. Believing that this ancient artifact may hold the key to defeating the invaders, Colwyn sets out on a perilous journey to the stronghold of Ynor's people, a fellowship of companions, to gather a group of brave warriors willing to join him in his quest. Alongside Kegan (Freddie Jones), the gruff but lovable blacksmith; Orlik (David Buck), a skilled tracker; and Ralon (Tim Moxon), a cunning thief, this ensemble band of heroes sets out across the unforgiving terrain of Krull. En route, they come across a mysterious and enigmatic character known as the Magician, who shares with them an uncanny understanding of the workings of the universe. Throughout their odyssey, the companions face numerous perils as they navigate treacherous mountain passes, scorching deserts, and dark forests. Along the way, they encounter a tribe of nomadic warriors who, having once been vanquished by the Slayers, now seek to avenge their ancestors. A fierce battle ensues, leaving its participants forever changed. Upon reaching the stronghold of Ynor's people, the companions learn the truth about the Glaive of Wormxul and their mission becomes clearer: to reach the heart of the Slayers' fortress, claim the artifact, and shatter the alien's control over Lyssa. However, the companions soon discover that they are not the only ones with knowledge of the ancient relic. The Slayers' cunning leader, the Sorcerer, has been tracking Colwyn's every move and is ready to strike. As our heroes near the fortress, they prepare for their final confrontation with the Slayers. Employing cunning and bravery, the companions navigate the labyrinthine passages and treacherous traps designed to impede their progress. At the heart of the fortress lies the central stronghold where Lyssa is held captive, guarded by the most elite warriors of the Slayers. In an epic showdown, Colwyn and his companions confront the Sorcerer in a fierce battle, with the fate of Krull hanging precariously in the balance. Utilizing the combined strength of their unique skills and the ancient power of the Glaive, they are finally able to vanquish the invaders and shatter their hold on the land. The fortress crumbles, freeing Lyssa and shattering the Slayers' power over the kingdom of Krull. In the aftermath of their triumph, Colwyn and Lyssa are reunited, strengthened by their arduous journey together and bound by the unbreakable love they share. And though their people have known a taste of freedom, they are forever changed by their brush with the intergalactic powers of the Slayers. Thus, a new era of peace and cooperation begins, with Colwyn's people forever vigilant against the shadows of the galaxy that threaten their home.
