Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider follows the titular character, a young, beautiful, and intelligent English aristocrat with a passion for archaeology. Lara's life is complicated by her family's dark past, particularly the mysterious disappearance of her parents. Ever since her father's untimely death, the Croft estate, as well as its vast fortune, has been at the mercy of the powerful and ruthless wealthy businessman, Manfred Powell. Under Powell's control, the estate is managed by his executive assistant, Alex West, who becomes wary of the manipulative wealthy businessman's true intentions. However, Lara refuses to abide by Powell's rules. Determined to uncover the truth behind her parents' disappearance, Lara sets out on a perilous quest. Her pursuit leads her to an ancient, mystical book known as the 'Element of the Elements,' also referred to as the 'Scion of Atlantis' which is also capable of controlling the forces of nature, along with time itself. As a result, Lara discovers that the book is a dual-purpose object with the dual halves known as the 'Triangle of Light' and the 'Triangle of Shadows.' The source of time manipulation originates from just the 2 halves, and whoever that gets them first could control the entire world's time. Powell is also after the artifact and forms alliances with equally insidious rival adventurers in his pursuit. He comes across the enigmatic, wisecracking, gun-for-hire, Manfred's childhood friend, Jaime Sommers' predecessor, another incredibly skilled gunslinger Jared 'Junk' Teague's protégée and crack shot, Alex's right-hand man who is obsessed with the ancient ruins of the world, man "Mitch" Mikkosen's nemesis named Mr. Kelvin, a cunning but less experienced western trained gunslinger Mr. Kelvin has in secret. Before Lara can find the triangles, she first has to survive several trials put up by each the temple's powerful enigmas that are meant to safeguard the powerful mystical relic of the Dual Triangle. The pieces hold unimaginable power as they are capable of advancing time forward or reversing it. Lara then unexpectedly, starts a mysterious and inexplicable relationship with the smooth talk, attractive, western, anti-hero K. Mason and one of Powell's deadly gunslingers, Mr. Kelvin in the fight against Powell.
