While Tom Hardy did a fantastic job taking his unconvincing and ruthless roles such as this crime movie. Reggie and Ronnie engage with the black market, the wealthy and the powerful. That brutal, cut throat edge creates intrigue and often keeps you wondering at times if the authorities will catch up to these twins. Legends also give insight into the tragic relationship between Reggie and his wife. These flashbacks, present the audience with a glimpse into their difficult relationship and Frances battle with Reggie's demons. Untruths told, insecurities and domestic abuse fuel this push-and-pull relationship that tests the fragility of Reggie's personality. The plot then slowly intensifies, as Detectives search for the smallest piece of evidence that will bring the Kray twins down. Against this law and order backdrop, it was clear that the film would shift from crime to reality, leading up to the definitive moment where the dark truths of the Kray twins' careers starts coming to the surface in this thrilling gangster tale. Eventually, Reggie and Ronnie are called to testify before a court and then told that there will be evidence given during the trial to seal their fate. Showdown takes place within an operating theatre in a bizarre shoot in broad daylight scene. Beneath Rob Reiner's powerful, grim direction in the narrative drives towards a confrontation, as a haunting tragic fate closes in on the troubled brothers. Unflattering insights into Reggie and Ronnie uncover their chaos at every edge, taking fans through this real-life story. "Legend" closes out, providing a sobering reflection on this disturbing period of British history and serves as a warning to the underbelly of crime hiding beneath.
