Leprechaun Returns

Plot
Leprechaun Returns is a 2018 American supernatural comedy horror film directed by Andy Evans and William J. Malone, and it serves as a direct sequel to the original Leprechaun film. The movie takes place 25 years after the events of the first film, where a group of college students unknowingly disturbed the resting place of the infamous Leprechaun, resulting in a new string of terrifying murders. The plot revolves around a group of college students who have decided to build a fraternity house on a site that is rumored to be an ancient, sacred burial ground. The property was previously purchased by the students' school, after the discovery that the old mansion that sat on the same site was in fact the original location where the Leprechaun was defeated by the original owner, Bridget. When the students break the ground to begin construction of their sorority house, they inadvertently uncover the remains of the Leprechaun. Unbeknownst to them, this act of desecration triggers the supernatural entity's resurrection, and the Leprechaun begins to wreak havoc on the campus. Danica (Taylor Spreitler) is a college student who has recently discovered that she has an inherited magical gift - the ability to sense supernatural entities and defend herself against their attacks. Danica joins a sorority house on campus and quickly becomes embroiled in the events that unfold as the Leprechaun begins to exact its revenge. As the body count rises, it becomes clear that the Leprechaun's motives are not merely driven by a desire to kill and maim, but also a sense of ownership and entitlement to the land on which it was awakened. The Leprechaun sees itself as a guardian of sorts, tasked with defending its land from those who would desecrate it. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Tyler, the sorority's outgoing president, is secretly in cahoots with the group who sold the property to the college. It is his goal to use the resulting chaos and destruction to force the school to shut down the project and relocate the construction site. As tensions rise and the killings continue, Danica finds herself teaming up with Tyler to uncover the truth behind the Leprechaun's return. In an eerie nod to the original film, Danica's research points to an obscure Irish legend that speaks of the Leprechaun's existence as a malevolent entity that has been tasked with protecting the land at any cost. The legend also speaks of the need for a 'key element' to be present in order for the Leprechaun to be defeated, something that has been noticeably absent since its resurrection. In the climax of the film, Danica, Tyler, and the remaining survivors of the sorority house, band together to uncover the key element to defeating the Leprechaun. The final confrontation is intense, with the Leprechaun unleashing its full fury upon the group in a desperate attempt to maintain its grip on the property. In the heat of the battle, Danica and her friends manage to uncover the truth behind the property's purchase. It is revealed that Tyler's group had intentionally kept the property's dark past hidden in order to sell it to the college at a high price. However, the group inadvertently unleashes the Leprechaun, which has now set its sights on them for their role in the desecration of the property. Ultimately, the group manages to outsmart the Leprechaun by creating a makeshift ritual to seal its powers, rendering it mortal and vulnerable to attack. With the aid of Danica's magical gifts, they manage to overpower and slay the Leprechaun once and for all, bringing an end to the terror it unleashed upon the unsuspecting college students. Despite the chaos and destruction that unfolded, the film ends on a hopeful note, as Danica emerges as a hero who has saved the day.
