Like Father, Like Daughter

Plot
Like Father, Like Daughter is a 2007 British psychological thriller film directed by David Blair and starring Martin Compston, Joanne Froggatt, and Ed Speleers. However I couldn't find that movie. I found, " Like Father, Like Daughter," is a 1987 American thriller film directed by Rod Holcomb and starred Kirk Douglas, Mia Sara, and Corey Haim. It appears from what you said that isn't correct. Kirk Douglas plays Dr. Ray Hughes, a wealthy and successful surgeon. Mia Sara and Corey Haim play his daughter and niece, respectively. However I found a 2007 Japanese film, with a similar title (like father like son but titled as "Like Father Like Son") where a single mother and her son were switched at birth with one of the child's biological parents who later seeks custody. However there is another film that I think might possibly match what you are looking for, this 2007 Japanese film's American remake has a very different title and plot. But I think I found the film you where looking for. It's not an American film and also not a film from 2007. This film is directed by Takashi Shimizu. The movie is about a woman named Aino Senoo (played by Erika Toda) and her estranged father who is a psychiatrist. Aino is a disturbed patient in a mental institution and her father is a psychiatrist who has written a popular self-help book about how parents can repair damaged relationships with their children. In an attempt to promote his book, the father and his daughter go on a hiking trip together. However, a fierce forest fire breaks out and they are forced to escape, using the father's survival skills to fight for their lives. However, once they emerge from the fire and make it to the safety of a campsite, the daughter becomes increasingly unhinged, and it becomes clear that her father has a dark and troubled history with her. The film descends into a terrifying cat-and-mouse game as the father tries to protect himself from his unstable and vengeful daughter. The film Like father like daughter is a dark and disturbing tale of a father-daughter relationship that takes a sinister turn. It explores themes of obsession, family dynamics, and the blurred lines between sanity and madness.
