The acting and storyline are quite poor, but the cinematography, colors, and lighting are outstanding. It has imaginative depictions of sex. The director is too obsessed with form; the story is simple, and the actors are like wooden puppets, adhering to the familiar theme of being shocking to the point of absurdity. It's like using Wong Kar-wai's style to make an adult film. The music comes in a rush, a psychedelic and detached mix of post-rock, electronic, and metal, creating an illusory and surreal atmosphere. It's excellent. Lewd individuals can now turn off the original audio when watching adult films and try composing their own scores.

Completely conquered by the director's use of color as a narrative tool. Maybe it's because that's all I've been thinking about lately, but my first impression is that I've found another film for my top ten of the year. Through the man's thoughts, the stream of consciousness examines love, semen, and blood – three important elements of life. Gaspar Noé's auteur aesthetic is incredibly extreme. Sometimes you can't just look at the story, but rather how the director tells the story in his own unique way. ★★★★

The world needs adult films with such proudly displayed intimacy, exquisite composition, stunning colors, delicate lighting, soul-stirring electronic music, and genuinely heartfelt emotions! I almost shed a tear during the "threesome in bed" scene – it was so incredibly touching!

Non-linear narrative, uncensored long-take sex scenes, orange-red dim lighting, blink-and-you'll-miss-it frame drops, filthy monologues, a blend of light and electronic music, intermingling rain, breath, and bodily fluid sounds – all working together to create a drug-induced psychedelic trip. The predominantly 2.35:1 aspect ratio features axially symmetrical compositions, connecting characters through medium and close-up shots, resulting in meticulously crafted and visually pleasing cinematography. Multiple laugh-out-loud moments satirizing American values. The only genuine 3D moment involves the audience getting collectively face-blasted in a close-up... I was brought to my knees by the montage of flickering light bulbs in subjective point-of-view shots.

After revisiting their past, this unfaithful couple discovers that love and passion can be both a curse and a redemption. The movie leaves us pondering if infidelity truly leads to healing or just another version of the same mistakes.
