In the heart of a bustling city, two seemingly ordinary couples reside in the same apartment building. The Shibatas, Tamio and his wife, are a career woman's family, while the writer Yumi and his wife struggle to make ends meet. The air is thick with tension as the relationships between these four individuals are strained. However, everything changes when the Shibatas move into the room next door. As Tamio Shibata, a stay-at-home husband, befriends Asako, the housewife who has become their neighbor, their connection grows stronger.
