Men in Black II

Plot
Men in Black II takes place four years after the events of the first film. Agent J, played by Will Smith, has been dealing with the memories of Agent K's temporary death at the hands of the rogue alien, Serleena, and Agent Zed, played by Rip Torn, remains in charge of the Men in Black office. J's life has changed significantly, as he is now married to his social worker, Laura Vasquez, played by Rosario Dawson, who he married after his encounter with Sophia in the first film. Meanwhile, Agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones, is still in stasis, unaware of the events that have transpired since his temporary death. The movie opens with a sequence of J and his wife, Laura, enjoying a seemingly perfect life together. However, things take a drastic turn when J receives a page from the MIB's office, which has just experienced a catastrophic event. Mysterious information is disappearing from all the databases, rendering the MIBs unable to access crucial data. The agency's top-secret files have been hacked, and the situation is deemed an "Alpha-level 10" threat by the MIB's director, the Ruler of the Moon (Kevin J. O'Connor). The Ruler informs J about the alien seductress, Serleena (Lara Flynn Boyle), who has escaped from the memory eraser machine designed to conceal her presence on Earth and has managed to hack into the entire global network. J is aware that Serleena threatens not only humanity but the entire galaxy, as she possesses mastery over dimensions and the ability to cross them freely. Determined to rescue humanity, J visits K's comatose body to awaken him and call him back to duty. K awakens but maintains that he knows nothing about his life with J. As K is transferred to a special non-transfer facility, J becomes desperate, realizing that he must find a way to break through the wall of amnesia. Throughout the journey, the agency director, Zed, informs J about Serleena, known to be from the Dark Planet's civilization. He explains that during several intergalactic battles, Serleena was used by her empire to infiltrate her enemies by impersonating a lovely woman named Lilith. According to her species' specific requirement, her beauty triggers extreme emotions in every soul she physically touches. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, J and Zed become adamant that he is the only person gifted with the expertise to defeat Serleena. Together, they approach Kay by playing specific sounds on his cellular telephone and even revive his memories once again. Upon this realization that they are at war with an enemy capable of bending time and defying existence itself, K is awakened with clear memories and he instantly joins forces with the MIB once again. After the reunion, J explains the nature of Serleena and conveys the reality that this alien female pursues mind-controlled hybrids, allowing them to stay afloat as planets deteriorate. Acknowledging that he understood nothing of intergalactic politics and that perhaps he stayed too long, they all board a stealth mission intended to discover where she's originated and how they must stop her. After experiencing strange happenings, chaos breaks out on board, during which time the MIB teams up to follow and contain the culprit. With multiple forms revealed to be of Serleena's kind, they track her to the United States of America where she is now in the company of her accomplice across different zones. They face massive issues – time and space manipulations – to ensure the mission is carried out in an efficient way. Furthermore, through various time constraints that pop up when she goes back in time and J teams up with himself in four years, they are all pressed to bring in all the experience to develop counter strategies while also keeping to Zed's non-transfer mantra: "Only men are in black; the badge signifies there is only one man wearing a badge." In attempt to bring chaos upon them, they encounter an antagonist – Agent B, who is impersonating as an innocent. This all further affects J on a moral approach to where it has a threat that presses his human nature including how true is Kay becoming disloyal once more.
