My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Magical Movie Night

Plot
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Magical Movie Night is a 2017 animated film that serves as the sequel to the 2013 animated movie My Little Pony Equestria Girls. The movie primarily follows Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Sunset Shimmer as they embark on a series of magical adventures. The main storyline revolves around Canterlot High School's student council, who announce a music video contest to raise funds for the school's theater. The competition encourages students from different cliques to collaborate and produce their own unique music videos. In an attempt to boost morale and create school spirit, Twilight Sparkle decides to participate in the contest alongside her friends. As they begin brainstorming ideas, they come up with an initial concept for the music video but have difficulty finding the right song to accompany it. During this period, they also meet Starlight Glimmer, a former Equestrian villain who reformed after befriending Sunset Shimmer, the primary antagonist from the first Equestria Girls film. Upon visiting the school's library, Twilight discovers an old film that seems to be the original source of the song the students want to use. Intrigued, the group becomes obsessed with tracking down the movie that they believe inspired the song, leading to their decision to sneak onto the movie set. Their intention to observe the filming process is soon disrupted when they inadvertently get swept up in the on-set chaos. The film's director, a gruff and experienced veteran, decides to use the students as actors in the movie. At first, they resist, but eventually agree to participate in hopes of getting closer to their objectives and gaining a deeper understanding of the film. Upon being introduced to the on-set team, the students are both fascinated and perplexed by the world of filmmaking. Meanwhile, Starlight Glimmer is initially hesitant to participate in the music video contest, fearing that her involvement might be seen as a manipulation of the original creators' work. However, she eventually warms up to the group's enthusiasm and offers her assistance. With her guidance, the friends successfully complete the music video and even secure a spot in the competition. However, their success is soon marred by the discovery of an enchanted antique mirror hidden within the school's theater. The mirror appears to allow the students to enter a fantastical realm, where they experience the movie in an immersive and interactive way. Unbeknown to the students, this mirror possesses magical powers that can change the course of reality. It begins to manipulate their perceptions of reality, causing chaos both on and off the set. As a result, the school becomes trapped within a perpetual series of bizarre scenarios, with the students repeatedly witnessing the film in various iterations. Determined to restore order and break free from the enchanted mirror's grasp, Twilight Sparkle and her friends come up with a plan to harness the mirror's magical powers for themselves. Starlight Glimmer, impressed by their ingenuity, joins forces with the students to help them conquer the mirror's magical realm. By using their creative teamwork and understanding of the film, they eventually manage to outwit the enchanted mirror. In doing so, they successfully defeat it and liberate their school from the endless loop of distorted scenarios. Having overcome the mirror's manipulation, the friends return to reality and successfully present their music video in the competition. They ultimately win the contest, not only showcasing their creativity but also emphasizing the power of genuine collaboration.
