In modern-day Moscow, the city's nocturnal inhabitants – known as the "Night Watch" – are entrusted with safeguarding the lives of ordinary humans living in ignorance of the supernatural world. This elite group of guardians, tasked with monitoring and regulating the dark Others, operates under the radar of human society. Anton Gorodetsky, a young and ambitious member of the Night Watch, has seen firsthand the devastating consequences of the treaty's failure.
