The story really falls flat. It's not just cliché, but the characters are poorly developed and everything feels chaotic. Why did the Director frame the male lead? What was the inciting incident supposed to be? It's all poorly set up! And then suddenly there's this overpowered savior who calls him "boss"—why? And the attempt to grab attention with LGBTQ+ elements... Inclusion is fine, but when everything is already a mess, it just feels like a cheap ploy for attention.

Where's the Nimona and Gloreth story we deserved? So frustrating that they sacrificed our girls! I hate it.

Why not give us more of that love-hate relationship between Nimona and Gloreth? That Ballister Boldheart storyline was kinda boring.

Okay, here's a translation that captures the sentiment, while trying to be a bit more professional and less aggressive in tone: "While the titular character is a young woman, the film unfortunately spends an excessive amount of time focusing on the male lead. Furthermore, the inclusion of a same-sex relationship feels forced and driven by political correctness. The ending, where the female lead ultimately forgives her wrongdoers, is a frustrating and cliché resolution."

While I appreciate Nimona, the narrative is quite unsettling. The LGBTQ metaphors are pervasive, yet the conservative antagonist and supposed pillar of patriarchy is portrayed as a woman, an "old nun"? The main plot follows an incredibly tired "dad-daughter" trope (adult man/teen girl). Nimona's origins, despite being the titular and central character, remain vague. Her relationship with Gloreth teases queerbaiting with their past entanglement that fails to explain their later estrangement. I'm more interested in the intricate backstory from a millennium ago than this fragmented tale. It feels like a small, detached piece ripped from a larger scroll...
