Number 24

Plot
In the midst of a tumultuous era, as the clouds of World War II gather on the horizon, a young Norwegian's determination sets the stage for a gripping tale of resistance and patriotism. The film "One of Us" revolves around Aron, a 24-year-old young man who is initially driven by a sense of self-preservation and aversion to confrontation with the menacing Nazi regime in power. Aron lives a humdrum life in a poor rural town. Hailing from a humble background, his prime objectives revolve around making a living and avoiding trouble. It isn't until the storm of Nazi occupation invades their peaceful Norwegian landscape that his insular existence is disrupted. The menacing grip of the new rulers of Norway crushes the spirits of the locals and threatens to eradicate the strong sense of independence that the Norwegians have possessed for generations. As Aron is approached by an acquaintance to secretly store ammunition that could potentially be used for violent resistance, his perception of the role he can play in the war is dramatically altered. This decisive moment signals the onset of a courageous transformation – Aron is no longer just a bystander; his sense of responsibility has shifted, and now, he yearns to stand against the repressive forces of the totalitarian government. While initially perplexed, his curiosity and willingness to explore his options foster a sense of valor and make him question what he has previously accepted as a mundane life, in contrast to his extraordinary circumstances. As the momentum gathers pace and more fellow-friends are drawn into Aron's journey of courage and defiance, the collective momentum of these individuals shifts Norway on the trajectory of nonviolent resistance, fuelled by a resolute unyielding spirit. Their goal becomes increasingly clear: take down the oppressive rule of the Nazi party and fight for the right of self-determination that originates in the untamed spirit of Norway.
