Oz the Great and Powerful

In a small rural town in Kansas, Oscar Diggs, a charismatic and cunning illusionist, deceives the local population with his sleight of hand and magical performances. Oscar's seemingly charmed life in Kansas is soon disrupted as a tornado strikes the town, sweeping him away to the mystical land of Oz. Unbeknownst to Oscar, the people of Oz hail the arrival of the "great and powerful" wizard prophesied to save their world from the impending doom brought by the Wicked Witch of the West. The residents, with their unwavering optimism and innocence, perceive Oscar as the long-awaited wizard, an expectation that he neither anticipates nor accepts. However, as the predictions and expectations of the people of Oz grow, Oscar, with a possible change of heart, begins to feel the weight of responsibility for the fate of this imaginary world. As a reaction to all he's experienced, Oscar learns the value of genuine leadership and friendship, eventually finding himself influenced by the ideals of those in Oz, leading him to ultimately make amends with his uncertain past and uncertain future. As the story unfolds, the Wicked Witch launches an all-out assault on the people of Oz, and Oscar is forced to confront his dark past and struggle to save the world from destruction. His confrontation with evil takes him to the depths of his self-awareness, allowing him to discard his illusions of grandeur and discover the depth of his soul.
