In the gripping murder mystery, Pranavam, Karthik, a successful fashion photographer in his late twenties, is at the center of a complex web of events that would lead him to be accused of a heinous crime. The film begins with a jarring and disturbing scene, as Karthik arrives at the police station in the company of the officers who have come to take him in for questioning. As revealed in flashbacks, Karthik's seemingly perfect life has taken a dark turn, with the brutal murder of his beautiful wife, Rohini. She was found dead in their apartment, with evidence pointing to Karthik as the prime suspect. As Karthik is taken to the interrogation room, he begins to explain his side of the story. It becomes apparent that his marriage to Rohini was not as flawless as the police initially assumed. Behind the façade of a perfect couple lay deep flaws and issues, including Karthik's addiction to Rohini's increasing demand for luxury possessions, as well as infidelity from a close friend of Karthik who also slept with Karthik's wife. The investigation takes a turn when Karthik recounts his argument with Rohini on the evening of her murder. Rohini, frustrated with Karthik's lack of spending on her, storms out, but it's clear that Karthik's infidelity was the breaking point, making her more likely to seek a more passionate connection elsewhere. The details of the argument leave a lot of unanswered questions about what actually transpired between the couple. As Karthik is subjected to intense questioning, it's revealed that he had received a threatening message earlier that night, hinting at Rohini planning something dramatic. Karthik dismisses the message as a prank, but later it becomes clear that the message was likely sent by Rohini's lover, further complicated by the fact that her lover was the very man who Karthik had confided in and trusted with his deepest secrets. Raju becomes increasingly frustrated with Karthik as he can't seem to get the story straight. The case appears to be wrapped up with the evidence pointing directly at Karthik, but the questions of a motive and a suspect who would carry out a premeditated murder leave room for speculation. When Karthik reveals the shocking truth behind Rohini's affair, Raju starts to see a different Karthik from the previous days, a Karthik tormented not just by suspicion but guilt as well.
