In the midst of the city's increasingly violent gang wars, a ruthless extraterrestrial predator has descended upon the deserted war zones of Los Angeles, hunting down and eliminating anyone who dares to cross its path. The human entity placed at the forefront of this intergalactic battle is Daniel Harford, a grizzled cop struggling to maintain order on the chaotic streets of LA. Initially, the LAPD is baffled by an unfortunate sequence of events which seems to defy explanation - the gruesome and inexplicable death of a gang leader, the sudden eradication of an especially aggressive street gang, and a bizarre discovery by a seasoned police officer that includes an eerie and blood-soaked hunting scene that embodies a strange out-of-this-world entity. Daniel Harford - a no-nonsense police chief who has survived innumerable brutal encounters with gang members - becomes the unwitting point man in the LAPD's investigation of these seemingly supernatural events. Teaming up with a gang-hating FBI agent, Peter Keyes, who has just been sent to the area to tackle the rising gang violence, they embark on a perilous journey to unravel the mystery surrounding these inexplicable happenings. From their understanding of the dead victims, they find the similarities between the bodies to be somewhat common, as there seems to be a new and unexplained cause of death, in contrast to the now-evident, ritualistic nature of these extraterrestrial murders. The key clue here emerges in the evidence - pieces of a hunting net are found in the hearts of the victims, suggesting the killer may be some sort of predator. It is more confounding for the two detectives, as this is a species they had never encountered before. Their search results in more evidence pointing to the same unusual predator, more with each passing day. Later, they uncover a deeper truth: the predator's reason for coming to Los Angeles. In a thrilling sequence of hunt-and-seek, this otherworldly huntsman starts by following clues and clues left behind its victims, and with each passing moment, Daniel's fate becomes as perilous as his encounters with these violent, deadly attacks. The unique twist of this futuristic exterminator in Daniel's world, in a dark yet breathtaking twist, is exposed when, through the unwary gaze of Harford and one or two innocent bystanders, we discover that it has actually been around LA before, where it was perceived only as some eerie and outlandish hallucination of exhausted, traumatized people until now.
