Plot
Deep within the heart of a remote, desolate planet called LV-223, a team of explorers embarked on a perilous journey fueled by the insatiable quest for knowledge and a deep-seated need to uncover the secrets of humanity's mysterious past. Led by the enigmatic and fearless Elizabeth Shaw, a brilliant and unyielding archaeologist, the team aimed to unravel the threads of an ancient puzzle left behind by an extraterrestrial civilization. Their cryptic clue, etched upon an alien-enscribed stone, seemed to hint at the presence of a primordial being who, thousands of years ago, was revered as a deity by an ancient civilization on Earth. Unveiling this piece of history promised to fundamentally redefine the concept of humanity's creation and origins. Convinced that the key to their findings lay hidden amongst the lost works of the extraterrestrial visitors, the team descended into the depths of LV-223 in the hopes of uncovering answers to these profound questions. However, unbeknownst to Elizabeth and her crew, their quest for knowledge was on a collision course with an ancient, malevolent force that rested at the heart of the alien planet – a monster of unparalleled ferocity. Known to the crew as 'the alien,' this ancient, biologically engineered entity, created by the extraterrestrial civilization thousands of years ago for a sinister purpose, waited steadfastly in the shadows. Engineered to wipe out all opposition, it lay patient and merciless, ever ready to unleash its wrath upon any unintended targets. Upon landing on LV-223, the team soon realizes that there is more to the area than just an ancient civilization's alien-visited city. Drifting further into the frozen wasteland of the barren planet, signs of life seemed to indicate a habitat rich in diversity, awash in the bio-matter of what can be assumed to be strange, alien organisms. One compelling lead was soon discovered – the fabled 'Elysium,' a heavily shielded research facility initially designed by the company that employed the crew, Weyland Corp, to find these fundamental answers for themselves. Concealed by the company's leading exponent, the reclusive and mercurial Peter Weyland, Elysium held secrets, unseen by the team prior to their initiation, suggesting the very purpose for which the team were sent and why Weyland seems so eager to see them succeed. Toby, one of Elizabeth's subordinates, a quiet yet incisive anthropologist, began assessing and illustrating that the extraterrestrial species that originated the civilization found on Earth was, in all probability, entirely more complex, far-reaching, and as a result, horrifying than the conclusions everyone else had initially arrived at. Meanwhile, within the layers of the underground facility, Robert Ford, a renegade, the engineer tasked with maintaining the operational coherence of the facility, became a victim to a series of eerie, tragic mishaps, hinting at an unknown menace that unfolded beneath the icy surface. The deep sense of betrayal that started to rise had thus placed everyone on a high alert. Robert struggled with a desperate intention to expose the sinister machinations of a hidden member, suggesting to everyone that danger actually lay at home and not just beyond their supposed field of vision. As they delved further, confronting unforgiving trials that revealed a lot about the untold truth regarding the original ancient creators of humanity, confusion mounts as fearsome events culminate to force everyone in close proximity to realize a nightmarish truth. Vital clues along the path of self-discovery hint to a startling correlation between humanity, LV-223, and "the alien" at the beginning of history. One insidious yet mystifying confrontation reveals that, in the early Earth days, 'the alien' had orchestrated humanity's ascent to power. Even further, an unseen hand of malice seems to indicate these "ancient deities" might never have had humanity's survival on their table.
