Plot
Summer's boyfriend, Jack, seems more interested in his own life than hers, his indifference gnawing at the edges of her contentment. Her friends – each with their own set of personal struggles – are no less affected. Rachel, a perfectionist, chases an unattainable standard; Alex, a thrill-seeker, finds himself entangled in a web of responsibility; Emily, a hopeless romantic, suffers from a broken heart; and Matt, a cynic, is grappling with the loss of his faith. The monotony of their daily lives is interrupted by an enigmatic email, inviting Summer to join a spiritual obstacle course in the Sedona Desert. Desperate for a change, she convinces her friends to take a road trip with her, each believing that the promise of a mysterious vortex will be the key to unlocking a new, better chapter in their lives. The Sedona Desert, with its breathtaking red rock formations, becomes a backdrop for their collective journey. Here, they meet Hermes, a charismatic and enigmatic guide who seems to hold secrets beneath his serene exterior. Hermes presents himself as their guide, leading them through a series of unconventional exercises designed to test their resolve, faith, and understanding of themselves. The group embarks on their spiritual journey, tackling obstacles that push their boundaries. Summer must confront the depths of her dissatisfaction with Jack. Rachel wrestles with the idea of settling for a mediocre life instead of striving for perfection. Alex must confront the fears that are holding him back. Emily, the romantic, must learn to let go of her attachment to the idea of love. Matt, on the other hand, must face the darkness that threatens to consume him. However, beneath the surface of their journey lies a more sinister reality. As they navigate the spiritual courses, they begin to notice that they are being monitored by hooded entities, individuals cloaked in black, watching and waiting. Hermes seems blissfully unaware of their presence, but the group starts to suspect that he might be more involved in their ordeal than they initially thought. As the group progresses through the courses, the mysterious entities become bolder, inserting themselves into their daily lives. They appear in Summer's dreams, tempting her with promises of transformation and self-discovery. Rachel sees glimpses of an alternate reality where she has given up on her ambitions. Alex starts to question the true intentions of his loved ones. Emily is plagued by visions of her future, where she has lost her sense of self. Matt becomes convinced that the entities are a manifestation of his own fears and doubts. The group starts to fracture, each member struggling with their own fears and insecurities. Despite Hermes's reassurances that they are on the cusp of a major breakthrough, they begin to realize that their journey may not be as noble as it initially seemed. Summer starts to question Hermes's true motives and the group's ability to resist the influence of the mysterious entities. As the vortex nears, the group finds themselves at a crossroads. Will they surrender to the allure of transformation, embracing the idea that the mysterious entities hold the key to their salvation? Or will they resist, choosing to confront their inner demons head-on? The choice, for each of them, is a difficult one, a reflection of the depths of their own insecurities and fears. The journey culminates in a climactic confrontation between the group and the hooded entities. It is here that they must come to terms with their own vulnerabilities, deciding whether to succumb to the promises of an external solution or to face the darkness within themselves. Will they choose the easier path, trusting in the vortex to save them? Or will they find the strength to overcome their own doubts and fears, forging a new path forward, wiser and more resilient for the journey?

Oh, oops! My bad, I accidentally squashed you guys. (This conveys a sense of accidental clumsiness and potentially dark humor, depending on the context of the film).
