This Halloween short is all about the vibes. The plot, focusing on Toast's brain-screw retrieval mission in Akihabara, plays second fiddle to the sheer absurdity. There's a milk-maid who conveniently happens to be the screw shop owner's daughter and a neglected villain obsessed with summoning supernatural monsters. Morty, predictably, messes things up. Compared to the previous anime shorts, this one's light on deeper meaning – just Halloween-themed absurdity for the sake of it.

The art style in this episode feels a bit too fan-made; the character designs aren't as strong as in the other version.

This feels like it was made by someone who's 30 years behind the times, yet thinks they're cutting-edge...

"Impressively blending action and humor, Rick and Morty's Akihabara adventure is a wildly entertaining ride. The animation is vibrant and immersive, perfectly capturing the energy and chaos of Tokyo's famous electronics district. The storyline skillfully weaves together Japanese folklore and sci-fi elements, staying true to the series' irreverent spirit. With its rapid-fire jokes and adrenaline-fueled action sequences, this film is a must-see for fans of the beloved franchise."
