A rewatch. This feels like a '90s Batman movie without Batman. Washington's character is similar to Harvey Dent before he becomes Two-Face, and the villain is like the Joker. The performances of both leads and the tense, yet entertaining, story are all commendable. 8/10

This movie screams, "I'm the greatest screenwriter in the universe!" It's about a lunatic killer who escapes from prison after being captured by the police to seek revenge. You'd expect a killing spree after the breakout, which would fit his character, but why doesn't he kill his perfectly fine wife and daughters? Killing his partner and raping a prostitute, how is that revenge? Two stars for the occasionally cool cinematography!

"A tense and suspenseful thriller, Ricochet sees a former cop turned attorney facing off against a vengeful convict he once put away. As the cat-and-mouse game unfolds, the lines between good and evil are continually blurred. The film's strong performances and tightly wound script keep viewers on the edge of their seats, making Ricochet a gripping and unsettling ride. With its dark and gritty tone, this crime thriller will keep you guessing until the very end."
