Rough Night

Plot
In the midst of a sultry Miami night, five lifelong friends from college, Jess (Jillian Bell), Alice (Kate McKinnon), Blair (Cassie Steele), Frankie (Jillian Bell), and Pippa (Scarlett Johansson), reunite for a raucous bachelorette celebration in honor of their friend, Jess, who is getting married. As they embark on their wild weekend, the group embarks on a series of hilarious misadventures, from an epic dance party to a late-night visit to a seedy strip club, where an unfortunate encounter with a male stripper takes a tragic turn. The group's carefree escapades are put into high gear as they meet their stripper, Mathilda (Joe Manganiello) or also known as "Sterling", at the strip club. Their raunchy and over-the-top party spirit soon reaches new heights, much to the dismay of the poor man. Chaos erupts in the most unexpected way - an argument ensues between the girls and 'Sterling', resulting in Pippa accidentally knocking Sterling to the ground, who then hits his head on a champagne bottle, resulting in his death. In a panic, and caught off guard by the severity of what they've done, Jess and her friends frantically try to cover up the mishap. A series of bumbling events unfolds as they attempt to clean up the aftermath of their misfortune. The friends, in an effort to maintain the illusion of a successful night, come up with an absurd story involving a "missing" Pippa and an elaborate search party. Their desperation is met with the growing anxiety of being caught. As things quickly spiral out of control, their initial panic gives way to despair and regret. They are eventually driven back to reality through their desperation, which in turn, forges their friendship into an even stronger bond as they confront the gravity of their actions. As they work through the events of the evening, the women are forced to confront their own darker, and more mature, sides. Despite the dark underpinning to the film, Rough Night, a comedy produced by the 'Girls Trip' duo, 'Sacha Baron Cohen's' and 'Will Ferrell's' production companies, ultimately remains a triumphant portrayal of female friendship and solidarity. With all odds against them, the friends come together to face their shared guilt, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to each other and themselves through the chaos. The camaraderie shared by the friends resonates as genuine, providing ample laughter along the way.
