This enigmatic figure, known only as Sacha, appears as a ghost, dressed in a simple white shirt with a hint of an 18th-century French accent. It is here, within the walls of the Hermitage Museum, where Sacha's journey begins. As the museum's staff busies themselves with their daily routines, the ghost vanishes, disappearing into the storied halls of the Winter Palace. With him is Alexandre Dumas' fictional character, the Chevalier de Guilleroy, a French aristocrat dressed in 18th-century finery, portrayed by the renowned Russian actor, Maksimilian Schell.
