Saaree

Plot
Saaree is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language thriller film directed by G. Nageswara Reddy, known for his work in the thriller and action genres. The film stars Vishnu Manchu, Mehreen Pirzada, and Sonarika Bhadoria in pivotal roles. The story begins with Vikram (Vishnu Manchu), a successful photographer in the city. Vikram's passion for photography stems from his passion for capturing the unattainable and elusive moments of life. His work is often praised by his colleagues and clients alike. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he spots a beautiful young woman, Saaree (Mehreen Pirzada), on the streets. He becomes instantly drawn to her, capturing her image on his camera. As the days go by, Vikram finds himself increasingly fixated on Saaree, spending countless hours tracking her down, taking her picture, and learning everything about her. His obsession with Saaree escalates to the point where he begins to lose control over his emotions and actions. Desperate to get close to her, Vikram resorts to manipulation and deception, often going to extreme lengths to catch her off guard. Throughout his encounters with Saaree, Vikram discovers that her story is anything but ordinary. Saaree is a young woman struggling for survival in a city where the streets are unforgiving, and the women are often reduced to objects of desire by the men around them. Her daily battles to make ends meet, coupled with the fear of being exploited, make her increasingly wary of anyone who might show a genuine interest in her life. Despite her reservations, Saaree finds herself drawn to Vikram – or perhaps his passion for photography is what captivates her. However, Vikram's obsession, which starts off as mere fascination, slowly deteriorates into something far more sinister. He begins questioning his own moral compass, caught between the thrill of the hunt and his growing desire to possess Saaree. As Vikram's fixation intensifies, his colleagues begin to notice the change in him. They witness a transformation from a once-talented photographer to a man on the brink of self-destruction. His loved ones, too, try to intervene and caution him against his behavior, but it's often too late. In the midst of this chaos, Saaree finds solace in Vikram's passion for her story. Despite the risks of trusting a stranger, she finds a sense of validation in his unwavering dedication to capturing her essence on camera. This complicated dance between Vikram and Saaree takes them down a dark and twisted path where the line between reality and fiction starts to blur. Vikram's obsession with Saaree not only threatens to destroy their fragile connection but also imperils his relationships with those around him. His closest friend and colleague, Rohit (Shivani Chilukuri), tries to reason with him and intervene in a way that might restore his grip on reality. Rohit realizes that Vikram has been so consumed by his own desires that he's forgotten the ethics of his profession as a photographer. As tensions escalate and Vikram's fixation on Saaree continues unabated, it becomes clear that his world is hurtling towards a disastrous collision course. With the very lives of those around him on the line, Vikram will stop at nothing to capture the elusive Saaree – a pursuit that threatens to destroy them all.
