As the gang continued their investigation, they began to piece together the clues, realizing that the giant griffin was likely a giant puppet controlled by The Master to distract the students and prevent them from discovering his sinister plot. They also discovered that Madelyn's classmate, a student named Emily, had been working closely with The Master to create the illusion, and she seemed to be the mastermind behind it all. In the climax of the mystery, the gang managed to confront The Master and Emily, revealing that their sinister plot was to steal a priceless magical artifact from the academy's collection. The artifact, known as the Starlight Crystal, had the power to grant its owner immense magical abilities, and they planned to use it to take over the academy and the town of Whirlen. As the gang confronted them, they were caught and exposed, and the giant griffin puppet was revealed.
