Overjoyed by his newfound ability to speak, Tango enthusiastically exclaims "Woof-wan-woo! Woof!" which translates beautifully into the phrase "Come on Elmo!" in the magical world of The Nutcracker. Elmo, being thrilled and overjoyed by Tango's newfound ability, decides that they should embark on a thrilling journey to locate the treasured nutcracker toy. On their search, Elmo and Tango find themselves transported to the magical world of The Nutcracker through a fantastical doorway. Upon their entry, they arrive in a grand ballroom amidst a whimsical gathering of The Nutcracker's beloved characters. The room was teeming with an array of dancers, from the elegant Sugar Plum Fairy to the dashing Cavalier. With Tango guiding him, Elmo becomes enchanted with the Nutcracker dolls and decides to follow one with a similar build, who is also searching for its missing sister – The missing nutcracker toy. Alongside a troop of tiny ballerinas, a Mouse King, and a host of tiny soldiers, Elmo finds himself joining in the quest to retrieve the missing nutcracker by solving puzzles, dancing, and singing with an array of delightful characters. As they progress on the fantastical journey, Elmo and his new companions learn the valuable lesson that friendship, teamwork, and courage can conquer even the greatest of challenges. Moreover, through his adventure with Tango, Elmo discovers that their bond strengthens his trust in his friend. The story eventually unfolds with Elmo, Tango, and their magical friends arriving at the kingdom of The Mouse Queen. There, they find an evil Mouse King threatening the entire land by taking control of the magical Nutcracker. With quick-thinking, bravery, and cooperation, Elmo, Tango, and their friends devise an ingenious plan to thwart the evil Mouse King's sinister intentions. Together, they use their collective imagination, wit, and heart to help the kingdom find happiness and harmony once more. Upon reclaiming the magical nutcracker toy, Elmo and his friends are celebrated as heroes by the kingdom, and, upon their return to Sesame Street, Elmo and Tango are welcomed back with warm applause and excitement.
