Sing

Plot
In a bustling, sun-kissed town, lies a renowned theater where koalas and other animals come together to share their stories through music and theater. At the heart of this vibrant community is Buster Moon, a charismatic and ambitious koala with a passion for putting on grand productions. Moon's love for the theater is matched only by his fear of failure, as his audiences have dwindled over the years due to his questionable taste in musicals. Desperate to revive his theater's fortunes, Moon enlists the help of his best friend, Eduardo, a wise-cracking, womanizing iguana, to devise a plan that would get his theater back on the map. As the duo sets out to brainstorm ideas, they are joined by Johnny, a laid-back, wisecracking, and lovable gorilla. The unlikely trio comes up with a plan to host a singing competition, with a grand prize of 1,000,000 dollars, in the hopes of attracting a larger and more enthusiastic audience. Moon purchases the necessary equipment for the competition and together they book a large space in the town's downtown area, unaware of the unexpected chaos that would ensue. News of the competition quickly spreads through the town, drawing in aspiring singers from far and wide. Among the contestants are Gunter, a talented but ultra-domestic German_accordion player, and Mike, a smooth-talking and confident mouse singer. Another major contestant is Meena, a timid but gifted elephant who fears her voice might be ridiculed for being "not quite" the right tone. As Meena warms up for the big show, Don, an ambitious, arrogant and dominant, American wolf sways the audience towards his ego with an amazing performance. As the day of the competition arrives, tensions and emotions run high among the contestants, who are eagerly awaiting their chance to strut their stuff on stage. Each singer is given a chance to prove themselves, whether through solo performances or complex choreographed routines, pushing the boundaries of what the competition might entail. Behind the scenes, however, things take an unexpected turn as things start to fall apart. The judges for the competition were supposed to be Tony, an arrogant and overconfident lion, followed by Clay Calloway, a veteran and acclaimed rock star who is known for his aggressive demeanor. However, on the day of the event, Buster discovers that neither of the two judges showed up and that they will have to proceed with the competition using judges from a local school's choir or the school's president as substitutes. Despite the catastrophe, the competition still continues, with an unusual mixture of drama, music, and camaraderie taking up every single moment they have. When the dust settles, one singer stands out among the rest. After Meena opens her soul, despite her initial fear, with an overwhelming performance that captivates the entire audience and most unexpectedly surpasses even the favorites. As Meena progresses through the competition and gets closer to winning the top prize, she uncovers her deepest passions and emotions, demonstrating an authenticity that touches the hearts of everyone around her. However, just as it appears that all will work out in her favor, her victory is stolen by Don as he makes some under-handed maneuverings that allow Mike, Gunter and Johnny to compete without following the rules. Stunned by Don's manipulative and cunning ways, but refusing to give up, Meena bands together with Johnny, Gunter, and Mike in a high-stakes finale that showcases the very essence of their heart and soul. Together, the four group entertain and support each other which ultimately shows them winning first place at that day's finale. With Meena's euphoric win, Buster's Theater has finally been redeemed, and the koala's hopes and dreams of saving the theater have finally been realized. As the curtain falls, the town is lit up by a renewed sense of purpose and unity, all thanks to the music that brought everyone together, making their world a happier place for good.
