In the enchanting Disney classic, Sleeping Beauty, a timeless tale of magic, adventure, and true love unfolds amidst a whimsical kingdom. The story begins with the birth of Princess Aurora, a beautiful and kind-hearted child who appears destined for greatness. However, unbeknownst to the royal family, a dark and malevolent force lurks in the shadows, watching and waiting to strike. As soon as Aurora is born, the wicked fairy Maleficent learns of her existence and, fueled by a deep-seated jealousy and resentment, decides to curse the princess to prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die on her 16th birthday. With an ostentatious flourish, Maleficent announces her wicked plan to the gathered fairies, including Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, who are tasked with attending to the royal child. The three good fairies are so horrified by Maleficent's declaration that they vow to protect Aurora from her fate and ensure her happiness. Despite the boys' banishment from attending and communicating through walls elsewhere, the king and queen decide to raise Aurora as a male, in a bid to avoid this very danger. Thus, the princess and future queen spends her early years as a young boy named Briar Rose. However, under the watchful eyes of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, Aurora grows into a beautiful and vibrant young woman. Unbeknownst to the royal family, as soon as she is born, the wicked fairy Maleficent casts the full curse of the sleeping princess by attending the christening after all. Meanwhile, in the heart of the forest, a beautiful and majestic castle stands out among the trees, home to Princess Aurora. It is here that the three good fairies continue to watch over the young princess, teaching her about the world and supporting her as she grows into a kind, compassionate, and intelligent young woman. Aurora's idyllic life in the forest is put to the test when Prince Phillip, a dashing and chivalrous young man, stumbles upon the castle while on a hunt. As fate would have it, Prince Phillip falls deeply in love with the beautiful princess, and the two share a magical moment that leaves them both enchanted. Unbeknownst to the two young lovers, the wicked fairy Maleficent has been disguised as an old hag who appears on her wedding day. Disguised as the Fairy of the Wedding. In an attempt to prevent Phillip's presence, the wicked fairy Maleficent throws the entire wedding party into a deep, dark slumber. As the three good fairies frantically search for a solution to break the curse, Aurora is trapped inside the enchanted castle, and her future husband is doomed to a long, never-ending sleep. The magical spell that shrouds Prince Phillip in slumber spells a sad ending for the couple's happy start together, however Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather hold onto hope that True Love's kiss, the final component missing from the curse, could awaken him. With time as her enemy, a dragon guarding the royal castle, and Maleficent constantly raising new complications it seems like time is running out for the princess of awakening her love from deep sleep.
