Burnham initially conceals her true intent as a high-ranking operative within Section 31 from Georgiou; establishing a relationship grounded on deception over mutual respect. Torn between her loyalty to Starfleet and her duty to protect the Federation via any means, Georgiou decides to conceal her Section 31 alliance from her former captain thereof Starfleet. It is revealed that Georgiou becomes entangled in some unresolved and cold blood vengeance due to her division of being far right in the moral compass. What unfolds thus acts as a thrilling, subversive dance where personal truth is gradually stripped from under her mask and true allegiance tested.
