In the late 23rd century, a newly christened U.S.S. Enterprise, under the command of Willard Decker, a man with a somewhat questionable authority record, ventures into uncharted space, on a mission to explore and gather information. However, this mission is anything but routine, as the crew quickly discovers that they are not alone in the universe. While on a mission to study a mysterious alien probe, the U.S.S. Reliant, under the command of Commander Pyotr Unega, stumbles upon a destructive unknown entity that has the capability to devastatingly destroy entire planets and spaceships. As the vulnerability of the crew and the ship is unfolded, it soon becomes evident that they are in for the fight of their lives. Meanwhile, a mysterious Enterprise fleet under Willard Decker's command sets out on the quest to find and neutralize this alien probe, which they refer to as V Gerard. It's Captain James T. Kirk, the once-famed legendary Space Captain who was renowned for his glorious conquests on every planet, whose image remains immortalized in his many heroic battles against the hostile alien threats.
